Bakhtawar & Humayon | Mehndi | Norcross, GA
It was another hot and humid day in Georgia, but just as during their Nikkah, these two looked stunning. We did a photoshoot in Lillian Webb Park in Norcross, but a thunderstorm rolled in and we had to cut it short. Still, we got some amazing photos!
The rest of the evening was spent at Al-Noor Banquet Hall in Norcross. It was an evening of food, dancing and fun!
Bakhtawar & Humayon's Nikkah | Al-Farooq Masjid | Atlanta, Georgia
It’s been such a crazy year. Bakhtawar and Humayons wedding was supposed to one of our first of the year, but due to Covid-19 and the state, nation and worldwide shutdowns, their celebrations had to be postponed. With all the uncertainties, we are so glad this lovely couple were finally able to have their Nikkah.
Afterwards, we went to Piedmont Park for some portraits. It was mid day and extremely hot and humid, but you can’t tell because these two were stunning! Congratulations, and we look forward to the next couple of days of celebrations!
Roshni & Parth | Charlotte North Carolina Indian Wedding | Ceremony and Reception
Day 3 started early. Roshni was up before dawn getting her hair and makeup done and we headed out into the streets of Downtown Charlotte just after sunrise for photos. We were able to capture some fog covering the tops of the buildings and we took advantage of the empty streets for portraits.
Shortly after, the grooms Baraat lead his family down the sidewalks of Charlotte. Parth rode a beautiful horse named Elvis, and part of the parade was lead by bagpipe players. It was a a fun mix of cultures!
Once at the Hilton, the brides family welcomed the groom and his family and we went inside for the start of the ceremony. It ended with the bride and groom leaving in a gorgeous Audi convertible. Later that night was a beautiful reception with dancing, heartfelt speeches and fun!
This cake was made by the bride - Roshni. And no, she isn’t a professional baker. Can you say TALENT?!
Roshni & Parth | Charlotte North Carolina Indian Wedding | Sangeet
The evening Sangeet ceremony was lovely. Beforehand, we went right down the street from the Hilton Charlotte Center City hotel to a small park called The Green, for photos.

Day 2 of Roshni and Parth’s 3 Day wedding consisted of Parth’s Manglik ceremony at the Hilton Charlotte City Center hotel, and Roshni’s Ganesh Sthapan, Mandap Mahurat and Pithi ceremonies at a family members home in Mooresville.
Roshni & Parth | Charlotte, NC Indian Wedding | Part 1 -Mehndi
We were so excited for the opportunity to photograph Roshni and Parth’s 3 days of wedding events in Charlotte, North Carolina. The weddings and events took place the first week of July, so the Mehndi party fell on the 4th of July. It was a hot but beautiful day at the family home in Mooresville, NC and Roshni’s family was so welcoming. The afternoon consisted of food, laughter and of course the mehndi itself.
Mohit & Nikita | Foxhall Resort Wedding | Atlanta Indian Wedding
We were so excited when Mohit and Nikita contacted us for their wedding at Foxhall Resort as it’s one of our favorite venues around Atlanta. The sprawling estate of 1100 acres of Georgia countryside makes for the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
Prior to their wedding, we did a fun (yet cold) engagement session among the fall foliage at Piedmont Park in Atlanta.
Nathan and I arrived early in the day while a layer of fog was still settled over the resort. We were able to get out and get a few photos of the lovely couple in the fog which made for some stunning portraits. The creams and reds of their wedding attire against the monochromatic foggy background was just perfect!
The day seemed to fly by, with a fun Baraat leading into a lovely ceremony. Take a look below and the stunning couple and their beautiful wedding!

Jim and Mary | Koury Farms Wedding
We simply love this couple! We met Jim a couple years ago because both of us were looking for a new hair salon and stylist closer to home. After much googling, one of Jim’s Facebook ads popped up and we both liked his work. The rest, as they say, is history! So we were very honored when him and his beautiful fiancé Mary chose us to photograph their wedding.

Cierra & Sean | Historic Dekalb Courthouse Wedding
Cierra and Sean are one of those couples where you can just TELL how perfect they are for one another. They came to me after their original photographer cancelled and had tons of questions, which I LOVE. I want our clients to feel confident in our abilities so I am happy to sit an answer any and all questions they may have. Once they booked, we had a fun engagement session in Downtown Atlanta, which ended up being published in Black Nuptials.
Their wedding day finally came and it ended up being a lovely day! Getting ready took place at Cierras beautiful apartment in Midtown, and Sean got ready at his brothers place across the street. Their gorgeous places made me miss living in the city!
Now, I love capturing emotion. And when it came time for Seans present to Cierra, there was not a dry eye in the room. He wrote her a letter, which one of her bridesmaids read, in which he told her he had paid off all her student loans so they could start their marriage debt free. WOW! That moment will stay with me for years to come as one of my favorite gifts a groom has gotten a bride on their wedding day.
The rest of the day was perfect. Cierras bridesmaids didn't make her lift a finger (which is how it should be)! And every moment was filled with happy emotions from everyone. The reception, which was designed by the super talented Niq Williams Events, was gorgeous. And Sean and his groomsmen even did a stellar performance to Bruno Mars "Finesse" before he took off her garter.

Laura and Glenn had a beautiful wedding at The Engine Room in Monroe, GA. This venue is such a wonderful space, with the exposed brick and big windows. Laura loves sparkly things so the beautiful sequin rose gold table covers were such a fun and nice splash of color and sparkle to the space. And her dress was simply stunning. The detail in the back was beyond impressive! And of course, Glenn looked great in his dark blue suit. They ended the night with a bubble exit that turned out perfect!

When Cayla contacted us about her wedding, we realized we had a few mutual friends. She hired us on one of our few dates still open for the spring, as her wedding was only a couple months out. We soon learned she had planned her entire wedding in only a few months, and WOW did they do a great job! Every detail was thought out and perfectly executed. If she ever decides to leave her current career, I definitely think she should go in to wedding planning ;)
The day of their wedding, the forecast showed rain all day. 2018 so far has felt like nothing BUT rain. Every. single. weekend. But, we got some spells where the rain stopped and were able to get some portraits done outside. And guys...they had a TACO BAR. And it was GOOD.

Kristina and Sean | A Krog Street Tunnel + Jackson Street Bridge Engagement
From the moment I met Kristina I knew I was going to LOVE working with her. We had a great talk at our first meeting and she told me how Sean proposed and about his love for sneakers. She told me Sean had an idea to do their engagement photos at Krog Street Tunnel and I lit up. I had been wanting to do a shoot there for YEARS, but just never had the opportunity.
For those who aren't familiar with Atlanta or Krog Street Tunnel, it's a tunnel on...you guessed it...Krog Street. What makes it unique is that it is FULL of graffiti and street art, and is always changing. Right down the street from the tunnel is the newer Krog Street Market, which is full of fun and unique food fair and a couple shops. The surrounding area is known as Cabbagetown and is full of street art and cute, older bungalow houses. It's such a fun area for artists and photographers.
Anyway, back to Kristina and Sean. They were seriously SO much fun. Very natural in front of the camera and both have great smiles. We finished the session at the famous Jackson Street Bridge that overlooks downtown Atlanta.
We can't wait for their wedding at Little Gardens later this year!
LaShundra and Eddie | Primrose Cottage Wedding
Is it really already 2018? I know it's already March, but it's still hard to believe some days that it's 2018. Time really does fly.
We had our first wedding of the year this past Sunday and it was simply lovely! It took place at Primrose Cottage in Roswell, which is a historic house turned venue right in Downtown Roswell. It was our first time shooting there and we hope to be able to go back one day!
While it rained all day, it didn't spoil the day. The ceremony and reception took place inside and was adorned in the 2018 Pantone color of the year, Ultra Violet! There were lots of tears of joy and sweet moments during the day.

Brittany & Michael | A Vinewood Plantation Wedding | Newnan GA
Brittany and Michael's November wedding was absolutely beautiful. The venue, Vinewood Plantation in Newnan, GA, is an exquisite 1800's plantation home, and was the perfect setting for photos of the bride and groom getting ready.
The ceremony and reception took place in the nearby converted barn on the property. The rustic wood details inside the barn were the perfect background for the deep maroons and blues of the wedding party and florals.
While it rained on and off much of the day, we were able to go outside for photos before and after the ceremony. The first dance, shown above, was like nothing we have ever seen. Brittany changed out of her gown and into a lovely shorter dress and dance slippers. They did a routine to Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud. It was so unique and entertaining, with everyone in the room watching intently. The rest of the evening was spent dancing with friends and family and ended with a fun sparkler exit.

Katherine & Jordan | A Piedmont Park Wedding
Anyone who knows Atlanta knows that Piedmont Park is Atlanta's Central Park. This popular park in Midtown has all kinds of festivals and events all year long. It's also an extremely popular spot for photography because of the lovely views of the city.
Needless to say, when Katherine's mother Lee contacted me about shooting her daughters wedding there, I was excited to finally get to use the park for a backdrop for wedding photos. Little did we know, there was also a last minute festival happening the night of their wedding AND a firework show.As a photographer, the dramatic skies during the day and the fireworks at night made for a super fun day for photography!
Katherine and Jordan are a lovely couple, as are their families. We are so happy for them and I'm glad the rain held out for their special day!

I was so excited for Sarah and Pete's wedding at the Mill at Yellow River in Porterdale, GA. I used to do photo sessions at this location when I first started my business years ago. But since it has become such a popular location that they don't allow photographers to just go there and shoot anymore. So being able to shoot a wedding there was exciting.
