FAQs
What is your photography style?
We consider our style to be editorial and journalistic, with some fine art elements.
Suzanne tends to shoot in a style that is considered editorial. These are the sort of photos you can find in magazines. She uses dramatic lighting for portraits, and incorporates environmental elements into her portraits. A photographer friend joked once that you can always count on her to hide in a bush at SOME point when shooting a wedding. And it's true! You will see a lot of dramatic skies in her portraits, and interesting angles in her candids.
Nathaniel is amazing at journalistic style photos, which tend to include a lot of candids and fun shots as well as the emotional moments. It's not uncommon to find him standing in the middle of the dance floor with his camera during receptions, and his photos will make you feel like you were right there in the moment.
We balance each other our well and between the both of us, you will get a great variety of high quality photos of your day.
What are your prices?
We have a variety of collections in different price ranges. How much we cost will depend on how much coverage you are looking to get and if you are interested in a archival-quality album along with your digital photos. We also offer hourly coverage for small weddings and elopements.
Due to the high end, professional equipment we use, along with our expertise in weddings and providing artistic, high quality photographs from your day, we are not low-budget photographers. Our average clients spend around $3000 or more on their investment with us.
What type of equipment do you both use?
For photography we use Canon equipment and for films we use Sony. We have Canon R5 and R6 mirrorless bodies and Sony A7SIII and A7IV bodies. In addition to our camera bodies we have a variety of professional Canon and Sony lenses including the Canon 16-35 2.8L II, 24-70 2.8LII, 24-105 4.0 II, 70-200 2.8L II, 100 2.8 L macro and Sony 24-70, 70-200, 35, and 50.
For lighting, we have three Profoto B1's with Octoboxes and umbrellas for portraits. These are some of the best lights in the industry for portraits and we are very proud to own them! We also have colored gels we can provide creative light in almost any environment. In addition, we use Profoto a1 speedlights which do not misfire like traditional speedlights, so you can rest assured we will not miss moments if you have a dark or night time reception. For also have a variety of video lights. With the above equipment, we can shoot in ANY lighting situation, indoors or out.
Do you have business insurance and may our venue have a copy of it?
Yes, we carry business liability insurance and we are happy to provide your venue with a copy.
Do you always work as a team?
All of our collections include at least a team of two. Suzanne is the primary photographer, and Nathaniel is the primary videographer. We also have a number of second shooters we use for photo and video.
If Suzanne and/or Nathaniel is not available for a specific date, we will not book that date. We do not split up and shoot more than one wedding a day, so you are our only focus for your specific day!
Do you require a deposit?
We require a non-refundable retainer for most weddings, which works just like a deposit. This retains us for your date. We do not book anything else on your day in case you need to make timeline changes or anything else comes up. This ensures we will not run in to any scheduling conflicts and our attention will be 100% on your day.
The retainer goes towards your final price, and will be deducted from your balance once a contract is signed and it is paid.
Do you provide RAW files?
We do not for photos. However, we provide you with ALL of your photos from your day that turn out. We edit all of your photos and provide them as high resolution digital files for you. The only shots we don't include are ones where you blink, test shots, exact duplicates or frames that simply don't turn out.
For video we are willing to provide the raw files for an additional fee.
Have you shot at our venue before?
We have shot at many venues around the Atlanta area as well as out of state. However, there are hundreds of venues in Atlanta alone so there is a chance we have not shot at your particular venue. If this is the case, we generally arrive early the day of your wedding and do a thorough walkthrough so locate the best areas on the property for photos.
Do you edit our photos?
Yes! Every photo you receive has been edited in our unique style. This includes things such as sharpening, color correction, clarity, skin smoothing, tone adjustments, and noise reduction. You will not receive any images that have not been through our post production process to ensure they look the best they possibly can.
