South Asian weddings are some of the most beautiful I have attended. Growing up, two of my closest friends were south asian, so when they got married I had the honor of not only attending their weddings but being a part of them. Since becoming a wedding photographer it's been a goal of mine to start photographing these beautiful events, so when Ali contacted me I was beyond excited to be able to capture two special days of celebration for him and Nida.

The evening before the ceremony was the Mehndi day, which is the celebration where women get henna (mehndi) applied. Mehndi has a lot of significance in south asian culture, and in addition to the application of the mehndi there was food and dancing.
